CIRCUIT DE LA TUNISIE
8D / 7N in BUS from SOUSSE
1st day: Arrival at the airport of Monastir: transfer towards the hotel of category three stars, reception, assistance and accommodation.
Half board in the hotel to SOUSSE
2nd day:
SOUSSE/TUNIS/CARTHAGE/SIDI BOUSSAID: Departure in the morning towards Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. In the center of the medina is Jamaa Eezzitouna, the great Mosque the religious heart of the city. After lunch, departure towards Carthage and visit of the grand site with impressive ruins of which are isolated in the middle of the greenery. The Roman Theatre of Carthage organizes every summer the international festival of music, dance and variety show. Continuation towards Sidi Boussaid, the said” village Maraboutique”, or built by a saint. Visit of souks and small alleys as well as famous café of braids.
3rd day:
SOUSSE/HAMMAMET/CAP BON : Departure after the breakfast towards Hammamet, and visit of the city. Built at the end of a tongue of land, Hammamet is surrounded with a walled up surrounding wall which trains a kind of rather regular parallelogram drilled by three doors. Continuation towards the Cape Well, one of the most fertile lands of Tunisia, framed by two capes and at the edge of the Mediterranean Sea of emerald. Visit of the cities of Nabeul, Kerkouane and Kélibia. Lunch.
4th day :
SOUSSE/KAIROUAN/SBEITLA/GAFSA/TOZEUR: Departure after the breakfast towards KAIROUAN, situated in the center of the country, in the plain and being, once, on the line of confrontation between the Muslims and the Byzantine. Visit of this city which remains the fourth holy city of the Muslim world after Mecca, The Medina and Jerusalem then visit of the Great Mosque and the ponds of Aghlabides. Continuation to Sbitla to visit the archeological site where we can see around a Roman city developed in regular plan around its civic and religious center, several basilicas proof of the magnificence of the Christian centuries. Continuation towards Tozeur by crossing the city of Gafsa, the most northern oasis of the country. Arrived at Tozeur, installation in the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
5th day:
TOZEUR/½ DAY NEFTA/(FACULTATIVE) TAMERZA: Free morning with possibility of an optional visit to Tamerza who is barricaded behind a mountain range, and suspended from the side of a gigantic canyon, offering a magnificent see of waterfalls and oases of mountain. Return to Tozeur for lunch. Afternoon, visit of the city of Nefta, the city which lived periods of destruction and reconstruction and known by the” basket”, the mosque and the palm grove. Nefta covers more of 800ha with palm trees producing the deglet-nour, the best variety of dates of the Maghreb. The evening, visit of the museum Dar Chraiet, museum built on the model of the palace of a city notable, presenting the key moments of the traditional life.

6th Day:
TOZEUR/DOUZ/MATMATA : After the breakfast, the visit of Tozeur, where streets pass under thick vaults resulting in small places walls of which are adorned with brick-built covers. Then, visit of the palm grove of Tozeur which is a continental oasis of plain covering more than 1000 ha and cash near a half-million palm trees. Continuation towards Douz where live for centuries semi nomads Mrazigues. This city welcomes every winter the international festival of Sahara where tribes present to the visitors a sample of traditional ceremonies giving rhythm to the timeof the nomad. After the lunch, departure for Matmata, surprising site where the main part of the housing environment is buried underground, dug in soft rocks. It‘s in Matmata where according to a proverb the alive live under the deaths . Visit of the cave dwellings dug in depth.

7th Day:
MATMATA/GABES/SFAX/EL JEM/SOUSSE Departure in the morning for Gabès, place of maritime oasis and visit of the market of JARA. Continuation towards Safx, capital of the Tunisian South and the centre of the business , known as being the second city after Tunis. After the lunch continuation towards El Jem, visit of the Roman amphitheatre the 3rd amphitheatre of the antique world ( 27000 spectators): the more you approach it, the more the mass stretches and when you arrive at its level, the oblique round face fades and gives way to a front wall(pediment) adorned with columns and quite cracked. Then continuation on Sousse.
8th Day:
Transfer to the airport of Monastir.
